PHYS-381 Computational Classical Mechanics


(3 cr.)
Repeatable for Credit: No
Dynamics of particles, harmonic oscillations, central force problems, Lagrangian and Hamiltonian dynamics, and mechanics of rigid bodies, coupled oscillations.  Use computational software to solve, analyze, and visualize equations of motion. Develop skills necessary to study advanced physics.
Prerequisites: take PHYS 281  or (PHYS 291  & ENGR 292 ) AND (MATH 250  or MATH 255 )
