HIST-296 U.S. Labor History in a Global Context (3 cr.) Arts and Humanities - History, Racial & Ethnic Studies Category A, Global Perspective Repeatable for Credit: No Evolution of the meanings of “work” and types of U.S. labor systems, especially in terms of race/ethnicity; the clash of democracy and capitalism, free and unfree labor; the rise of communes, unions, the managerial class, and the needs for immigrant labor.
