ECE-512 Middle Childhood: Curriculum and Methods for Social Studies

Methods and materials for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating social studies curricula for elementary classrooms (grades 4-6). Emphasis is placed on: 10 utilizing development skills, 2) fostering content knowledge in the content of social studies, 3) assessment, 4) social studies content instruction, and 5) building positive attitudes for the teaching of social studies in the classroom. Develop skills in the classroom environment and maintain professional responsibilities for teaching at the elementary level. Students must hold WI teaching license #70 and have passed the Praxis 2 exam.
