ENGL-111 Honors Composition 1 (3 cr.) Communication Skills Repeatable for Credit: No
Introductory, first-semester composition course for students in the Honors College. Practice in college-level writing, critical thinking, and reading. Introduction to academic research, source-supported writing, argumentation, and conventions of structure, style, grammar, mechanics, and format appropriate to specific rhetorical situations. Sustained writing assignments allowing students to explore topics of humanistic inquiry. Prerequisites: 1) Enrollment in Honors College. 2) English Placement Test or ACT score qualifying student for placement in ENGL 101.
