Introduction to multidisciplinary “research comics”-especially those graphic narratives used in the social sciences. Focus on graphic ethnographies: in-depth studies of cultural communities in a graphic format. Global cultural variation and international scholarship emphasized. Development of skills in ethnographic research and communication, with emphasis on ethics and techniques of representation.
