Photography and Video Minor

In the Photography and Video minor, students will gain the knowledge and hands-on experience to be proficient in the visual languages of today’s growing media options. The minor emphasizes the digital aspect of photography and video.
Students will come to understand the principles and theories to still and moving images while learning the proper use of digital editing tools for still and moving image creation. Over the course of the minor, students will also learn how to manage resources and how to archive and distribute still and moving images. Aesthetic and technical criteria will be applied to evaluate still and moving images while discussing ethical, social, political and personal issues.
