The Sustainability and Well-being Certificate is a joint offering of the UW Extended Campus Sustainable Management (SMGT) and Health and Wellness Management (HWM) degree programs. This fully online certificate program is comprised of four courses (12 credits total): two courses in the MS-HWM curriculum and two courses in the MS-SMGT curriculum.

The certificate is offered to both non-degree seeking students as a standalone certificate and to degree-seeking master’s program students as an additional credential. Coursework completed in the certificate applies toward the MS-HWM and MS-SMGT master’s degrees should students choose to enroll in either program as a degree-seeking student.

This graduate certificate is focused on principles of sustainability related to workplace well-being. Students will learn the fundamentals of sustainability and well-being, behavior and development of organizations, and the principles of corporate social responsibility.  The certificate is targeted toward professionals working in the areas of human resources, sustainability, corporate wellness, safety and risk management, and facilities and operations management.

Students will select and enroll at a home campus, which will provide academic support and confer the certificate. Academic advising is provided by the designated MS-SMGT or MS-HWM academic director at each institution.
