Computer Networking and Information Technology, B.S.: 4-year sequence
Introduction
The demand for network engineers and cybersecurity professionals is high. UW-Stout’s bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking & Information Technology (CNIT) program follows UW-Stout’s unique hands-on and active learning approach. As a CNIT student, you will gain real-world experience and skills you need and the credentials to prove them– to turn that demand into career success. You will learn how to design, install, implement and secure enterprise network and Cloud. You will become an expert in network administration and cybersecurity management.
You will take courses in emerging fields such as ethical hacking, penetration testing, cloud computing, network programmability and automation, unified communication, IP Telephony, and wireless networking.
This program includes many sought-after IT & cybersecurity industry certification-certifications that will boost your résumé. The certification includes Amazon Web Service (AWS), Cisco, Microsoft, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Linux, etc.
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has certified this program meets or exceeds the requirements as a national Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. CNIT Students are eligible to apply for scholarships and grants through the Department of Defense Cyber Scholarship program.
