  • Courses identified by an asterisk (*) are sequential and have prerequisite requirements. Taking these courses our of order may delay your graduation. See your advisor for details.
  • Following the recommended course sequence is critical to your successful development in the BFA in Game Design & Development program.
  • In particular, the suggested progression of ART and DES courses is very important if you aim to complete this degree in four years. 
  • The senior level capstone sequence, GDD 450 & 451, is a two semester, 8 credit experience that must be taken entirely in one academic year (450 in Fall & 451  in Spring).   
  • Students will satisfy the Experiential Learning requirement by participating in the game design capstone experience (GDD-450 & GDD-451). Additionally, Co-op, Internship, Field Experience or Other, as approved by the Program Director may also satisfy this requirement
  • It takes an average of 15 credits per semester to complete this degree in four (4) years.
  • A Mid‐Program Portfolio Review is a requirement for graduation.
  • A grade of ”C” or better in both School of Art and Design courses (ART/DES/ARTH) and game design courses (GDD) is required for graduation   
  • A grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better in both School of Art and Design courses (ART/DES/ARTH)  and game design courses (GDD), as well as a 2.0 overall  GPA is required for graduation.
