Digital humanities is a cross-disciplinary exploration of the intersection and interplay of digital technologies (algorithmic analysis, data visualization, interactive digital media, video games, mobile apps, virtual and augmented reality, etc.) and humanistic areas of cultural production (literature, film, language, art, theater, history, etc.). As such, digital humanities intersects with user experience, experience design, instructional design, human-computer interaction, data analytics, technology entrepreneurship, and information architecture. More broadly, digital humanities seeks to understand how information and experience can be configured as we move deeper into the twenty-first century information economy.
