The Luxury Management minor is an innovative, first-in-the-nation minor designed to prepare current and future professionals for the unique and exciting demands of providing excellence in luxury environments. This multidisciplinary minor is intended to provide students with the skills and abilities needed to effectively provide service excellence to various industries and customers. Through an innovative curriculum that brings some of the most recognized names in luxury into the classroom, students will actively learn from thought leaders across multiple industries. Courses included in the minor were selected to expose students to prepare them to become luxury professionals, including having a proactive mindset, product and service authenticity, luxury trends, services branding, consumer psychology, customer experience mapping, living luxury (through site visits), and being the consummate professional.
Students are required to take 18 core credits to create a fundamental understanding of luxury management and service excellence. To build upon this fundamental knowledge, students then take one additional elective (3 credits) based on their area of interest. From international management, critical thinking, branding, luxury club management, and real estate, students can supplement their understanding of luxury to include those areas of interest to their professional development.
