The Interaction Design minor is an innovative cross-disciplinary program designed to extend the learning from students’ major programs into this expanding area of study and practice. This minor is designed to bring students from a variety of programs together into shared learning environments.
The core curriculum of the minor consists of five courses (15-16 credits) offered by the Department of Design and focused on user interface and user experience design. The knowledge and skills developed by this core curriculum is supplemented by students completing four selective courses (12-16 credits) from a designated list of interactive and digital communication-oriented classes.
This list of selectives contains courses from the following programs: Industrial Design, Game Design and Development, Computer Science, Digital Marketing Technology, and Professional Communication & Emerging Media.
