School Counselor Licensure for Mental Health Professionals Certificate: 1-year sequence  

The graduate certificate in school counseling is designed for individuals who have a master’s degree in a counseling-related field. This certificate may lead to licensure as a school counselor in Wisconsin through the Department of Public Instruction. Requirements for completion of the program include a 3.0 GPA and a passing score on the PRAXIS II to gain endorsement for the license. The certificate program includes courses that prepare students through applied practice in school counseling.
