Introduction
he Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education prepares students to teach in elementary, middle, junior high and high school settings across the United States. The program prepares professionals who are knowledgeable regarding subject matter and content in the field of family and consumer sciences education, including life-span human development, personal and family relationships, parenting, consumer economics, food and nutrition, housing, textiles, and apparel. The program is also offered with a distance option for geographically-bound students seeking Career and Technical Education certification.
Note: This program is designed to meet the requirements for licensure in the State of Wisconsin. The program also meets initial licensure requirements in all other states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.
