A minor in Spanish equips students with the skills needed to thrive in multilingual and multicultural communities and workplaces. Students will reach a high-intermediate proficiency level in Spanish and gain confidence in communicating efficiently and respectfully with neighbors and colleagues from other cultures.
Retroactive credits: Students can earn up to 12 retroactive credits by taking the placement exam and completing the course they test into with a grade of B or higher.
Spanish Placement Exam: If you have questions about the placement exam or are unsure about your language level, please contact the Spanish minor advisor.

Required Courses (9 credits)
SPAN-101 is a prerequisite for SPAN-102. Selectives (9 credits)
Take 9 additional credits of electives. 6-9 credits must be chosen from any SPAN course above SPAN-202. Students may choose to take up to 3 credits taught in English from the approved list. Courses Taught in English (Up to 3 credits)
