The Design Minor provides a foundation in visual literacy and creative problem solving within the context of the design studio. Students analyze design systems, processes and products in historical and cultural contexts; they also produce creative works within prescribed constraints. This minor equips students with a breadth of knowledge and tools to analyze and solve creative problems.
A design minor requires a minimum of 24 credits. All course work must be A-F grade basis and completed with a “C” or better. A maximum of four courses from the major may “double count.” A minimum of 12 credits within the minor must be completed at UW-Stout.
