The minor in Advanced Automation & Robotics provides students with hands-on, in-depth, applied engineering experiences to design and integrate automation components and equipment at the system level of an automation system. This program is designed for students seeking to enhance their primary area of study with specialized knowledge and practical skills in automation, robotics, and their applications across diverse industries. Students will be able to demonstrate advanced programmable logic control programming techniques in the areas of motion, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) feedback loops, data exchange to system level software like manufacturing execution systems, robotic and vision system integration, system security, and digital twin applications.
Note: Several courses in this minor have prerequisites that must be satisfied prior to registering for the course.
