Computer Science, B.S. 4-year sequences:
Introduction
Developing computer software consistently tops the best jobs in the U.S. list. The Computer Science program at UW-Stout focuses on computer software and media applications. This program stays current with today’s technologies, devices, and applications. Concentrations in this major focus on specific areas such as cybersecurity or games or you can create your own area of focus by adding an interdisciplinary minor or second major.

Program Requirements
CS, MATH, STAT, MSCS, and GDD courses require a grade of C or better. Each course is labeled with an *. Stout Core General Education Requirements (CGER) (33-36 credits)
Math & Quantitative Reasoning (3-5 credits)

CS-458 SE Practicum must be taken twice (for 8 credits total). The Mathematics minor is already included in the major and cannot count as your interdisciplinary credits. - CS-458 Software Engineering Practicum (4 cr.) * (Register for CS-458 twice)
- **In addition, a student must complete a unique minor (not already included in this major), a second major, OR coursework approved by the program director (which may include transfer credits) totaling a minimum of 24 credits.
