Introduction
The Video Production major provides students with skills necessary to pursue a career in rapidly-expanding fields related to the creation and presentation of video/media for non‐broadcast, online/multi‐channel media distribution such as social media, training and education, and digital display content. The Video Production major will prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills to the creation of finished still and video/media products, under the guidance of producers and directors. The program emphasizes creative and critical thinking skills, principles of visual literacy, technical processes of video/media technologies, and the planning and management of video/media production.

Analytical Reasoning and Natural Sciences (10 credits)
Courses must be from the areas of analytic reasoning and natural sciences. At least one mathematics or statistics course and a natural science course with a lab are required.

Social and Behavioral Sciences (6 credits)
Social Responsibility and Ethical Reasoning (3 credits)
Courses must be selected from the list of approved social responsibility and ethical reasoning courses.
