Advanced Automation Minor

This minor provides students with a hands-on, applied engineering experience that will prepare them to design and integrate components and equipment at the system level of an automation system. Students will be able to demonstrate advanced programmable logic control programming techniques in the areas of motion, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) feedback loops, data exchange to system level software like manufacturing execution systems, robotic and vision system integration, system security, and digital twin applications.

Note: Several courses in this minor have prerequisites that must be satisfied prior to registering for the course.
