In whatever path you choose, you’re bound to work with team members and clients from a diverse set of cultural backgrounds and life experieces.UW-Stout’s certificate in intercultural competency equips students with the cultural understanding and practical skills necessary to succeed in today’s globally connected workplace. Through beginning coursework in a foreign language and courses in the study of human culture and interaction, you’ll become prepared for effective communication and the intercultural exchange of ideas, all while working toward completing your Stout Core requirements. 

Required Courses (12-14 credits)


At least 9 credits in the certificate must be from courses taken in-person or online at UW-Stout.(Residency Requirement)

Anthropology Requirement (3 credits)
